About Us
What is the Pocahontas County Arts Council Inc.?
The Pocahontas County Arts Council Inc. is a 501(c)3 corporation founded in 1978. We build an appreciation of the arts through education and advocacy. Through programs available in the schools and in the community, we encourage the inclusion of the arts in all aspects of community life. Monies used in the Council are secured through a percentage of the county's hotel / motel tax and from generous contributions from individuals and businesses. The Council is made up of nine community representatives who serve as board members and officers. We meet monthly to conduct the business of the Pocahontas County Arts Council Inc.
